We have a very finicky girl with a tummy that just won’t stop grumbling. Despite the vet’s saying repeatedly that a limited ingredient or grain-free diet is “not necessarily good for dogs” the facts don’t lie – grain + chicken makes her tummy emit horrible noises! No grain stopped it, no chicken product made it even better. We loved this while members at costco, but couldn’t afford to keep the membership, so thankfully amazon sells it! We alternate between the Beef & the Salmon (blue bag) versions. Both our dogs (mixed breeds at 6 yrs & 2 yrs, 50-ish lb dogs) love this food & have great check-ups!

Our two Labs were susceptible to diarrhea, and our Pug had urinary problems. We switched to grain-free Nature’s Domain Salmon and Sweet Potato three years ago and have had no recurrpent problems since!
July 2017 Update. We’ve been feeding this to our dogs for five years. We have two adult Labrador Retrievers (6 years old) 80 & 70 lbs and one 13 year old Pug (19 lbs). Our dogs love this food; we even use it for treats.
— Nature’s Domain has higher energy than the grain filled dog food we used previously, so we had to cut back the quantity we were feeding them in order to maintain our dogs weight.
— Introduce the food gradually, to avoid stomach upset.
Our the dogs are very healthy on this diet, and they love the food. As I mentioned above, we use this as treats, instead of the salty, fat-filled commercial treats. They absolutely LOVE this food – for both meals and for treats.

My dog loved this food, but his vet told me this is unhealthy dog food. The concentrations of the grains, potatoes, and peas is too high. This caused a slight enlargement of his heart muscle. Switched my dogs food to what his vet recommended to me (Purina pro-plan), hopefully the negative changes can be reversed but we will have to wait and see.

Been using this for all 3 of my dog’s for 7 years and they love it. I add salmon oil and Skin Plus to each of their meals and works great with itching and their coats. It was $47.00 on Costco site but I saw it on Amazon for $32.00. It has been unavailable for that price since I got it. Very disappointed with Amazons new price of over $50.00 please fix it!!!

The product itself is great and I’ve been feeding both my German shepherds their brand for years. However the reason I’ve given it 3 stars is solely for the product. The packaging is another story. If I could I’d give it a 0. There have been 4 instances now that the bag showed up at my door step wrapped 3 times in some brown plastic and the actual bag of dog food broken open in multiple spots. I chalked the first three up as maybe a unfortunate coincidence but today I received my dog food in a 3×3 box. The original bag the dog food was in, was actually inside the box under all the dog food. The dog food itself was just poured in the box. Absolute horrible packaging and I’m done giving chances.

It’s so good that FedEx leaving it in the driveway invited my Alpha hound to tear into it and starting chowing. Luckily, we pulled up within minutes of the feat – or who knows how much she would eat… UPDATE – We experimented and tried the beef flavor…. Reason? Our black and tan was putting out a fishy smell with her coat oil. When we completed the transition to beef – it magically went away. So – BE ADVISED. . . The salmon may have this side effect with your dog.

I like this kind of food, because it’s not full of a bunch of fillers and grains. I think it’s more healthful for dogs.
