1. Traditional Broom and Dust Pan

Sweep the pet hair into small piles and throw it into the trash after you’ve swept it into your dustpan or use your vacuum cleaner to suck up the piles of dirt.

2. Microfiber Mop or Duster

This method works best for small spaces or dog hair in tricky places like baseboards because you’ve got to actually get down on your hands and knees to wipe the floors with the damp dryer sheets.   

7. Pet Hair Vacuum Cleaner

There are vacuum cleaners that are designed to do better picking up pet hair better than a regular vacuum cleaner might do. Because you’re cleaning hardwood floors, you want to make sure that you pick a vacuum cleaner that works on hardwoods instead of carpets and rugs. You’ll also want to pick one that has strong suction to get the dog hair up and off the floor.

8. Robotic Vacuum

Keeping up with all the dog hair can be a full-time job – especially if you have more than one dog. Investing in a robotic vacuum cleaner can be a lifesaver. Let it run on your hardwood floor while you’re gone during the day and come home to less dog hair on your floors.
