My dogs won’t pee on it! They like to nap on it. They like to lay down on it. They like to store their toys on it. But they don’t use it for a restroom!

I purchased this for my dog to use during the torrential rain and hurricanes we get on occasion here in the otherwise sunny state of FL. It came with a black tray, a pee pad, and the grass turf. As soon is I “assembled” these 3 things, the brood of cats that allow me to live here immediately claimed ownership. This has yet to be used as an actual bathroom area as the cats and even the dog seem to think this is a nice place to relax.

I doubt this review is helpful at all, but perhaps someone can find it informative.

Okay, so we have five-small doggos in da house. When nature calls at 3AM they (for the most part) know to use these, and I am thankful. The only issue is that the solid material tends to stick to the “grass” and has to be taken out and hosed down. That’s not to fault the product; I’m very happy with it and will order another set when winter kicks in.
Just have potty pads under they tray at all times.

The concept of this project is great but there is a flaw in the design of the drainage capabilities of the grass rug. The drain holes do not drain out the urine properly and it collects more in the rubber backing of the rug then it drains. This leads to fowl oders even after the 2nd use. Larger holes or more clusters of holes would be more efficient in the drainage process. Cleaning the grass rug is not as simple as rinsing it off. You must also wash it with soap and water or soak it to remove the oder from the rubber backing. Cleaning doggy pooh from the rug is actually alot easier then picking it up off the grass outside. It sets right on top of the grass rug blades and can simple be removed with pooh bags and thrown away or toilet tissue and flushed in the toilet. It’s great for potty training pups or for those can’t hold it moments for dogs left home. This would be a 5 star 🌟 product if not for the flawed drainage design of the grass rug. If the grass rug had a better design for drainage that would filter the urine onto the disposable pad better and collect less in the rug. It would be a great product. But as it is designed now I wouldn’t purchase another one or recommend anyone to purchase unless they had the time to completely clean this product after every 2nd use.

Great concept but bad grass rug drainage design.

Update- our puppy is now 5 months old and we still love this thing so much! I wanted to clarify that we have the large size, but we do have a small dog (8lb maltipoo). I think a massive dog would be too big for even the large size, but I’m not sure. Our dog has plenty of room to do his business on the large size. Once we were able to let him go on walks, there was no confusion of him going on real grass and he uses both options (our yard and this porch potty) with no trouble at all. If you aren’t using high quality pee pads under the turf (we buy the bully ones) it will most surely smell. You also must be diligent with changing those out and hosing the turf off, we do this about every 2 days. This option is still our preferred spot for potty because it is literally right outside our door.

We have a new puppy and we were instructed by our vet to not let our puppy on the ground until shots are completed (several more weeks). We decided on a porch potty type set up and I chose this one because it came with 2 grass inserts. This has been amazing for us! We can hose one off and allow it to dry in the sun while having the other one ready to go. We rotate them every 1-2 days. I was really worried about it smelling on our porch and it absolutely does not smell! We use good quality pee pads underneath that lock in the urine and keeps us from spilling pee in the tray when cleaning. Clean up is a breeze, no smell and it is making potty training a lot easier! Our pup knows this is his potty spot now and I’d doing an amazing job! We have even taken this in our car, putting it in the very back and he goes perfectly on it there too. I also love that this product has extra drain holes meaning the grass doesn’t stay saturated with pee, it drains quickly and straight to the pee pad underneath. Highly recommend! We are hoping this product will make transitioning to peeing in our back yard easier when he’s allowed to do that, but will also keep this on our covered porch for when it’s raining as a second option. This product would be great for puppies who can’t yet go outside on the ground, apartment building living, a second potty option for rain/storms etc!

Most litterboxes made for rabbits are too small, let alone for 5 rabbits. I have spent so much money trying to find the perfect litterbox. I decided to take the plunge and go with this for a grid. I love the idea of artificial grass by my buns started plucking it. The grid is close to the pan, so you probably couldn’t let the litterbox go for several days with poop but it is easy to clean. I just vacuumed the poops up and replaced the grid! The pee pads will probably need to be changed every other day or so! This is a low entry so it would be great for senior buns. The grids don’t seem to hurt my rabbits but only time will tell to see if their feet improve!

This has worked great for our small dog. It took about 10days for her to get use to it. We keep it on the apt balcony & clean regularly.

My puppy took right to this grass pad, but would not use two others I have. The set is very nice, it is just as described and perfect for our tiled patio! It looks great. Definitely need the spare piece when one is being cleaned. The price seems worth it for size, quantity and quality. After we ordered the price went down from $70 to $60 so I ordered another – we expect to need these for a long time since we don’t have a grassed yard. We had tried others, that were flimsy and fell apart quickly. My puppy is little but I still chose the 34×23 because she likes to move around a lot and to use a clean space each time. The product came very well packaged (with protective edges). Very happy!
