When it comes to advocating for dogs and animals in general, there is no bigger face than Tia Maria Torres. The proprietor of Villalobos Rescue Center, Tia works to combat misconceptions about pit bulls and other similar dogs. She also works in facilitating a smooth transition for recent parolees seeking to return to society. Tia is also the female lead of the reality TV series Pit Bulls and Parolees. She is often seen working alongside her family members to help dogs around the nation. The 62-year-old has four children, Kanani Chock, Keli’i Chock, Tania Torres, and Mariah Torres. A grandmother now, Tia shows no sign of slowing down, and the world’s a better place for it.

Tia’s work on Pitbull has transpired into a huge television success. Since the inception of the show on October 30, 2009, “Pit Bulls and Parolees” completed eighteen seasons in 2021, although, the 19th season is to be confirmed, it won’t be wrong to say it is just a matter of time. 

 Viewers of the show are used to seeing new faces, as coming and goings are often an occurrence. Torres households are our mainstay cast members. Due to the very short stint of many cast members, viewers may not be familiar with what’s going on with them.

Pit Bull and Parolees cast member death:

Anthony Allen, 23 years old, a promising young man passed away on June 28, 2015. Allen was born and the bread of Springfield. He had been battling cancer for three long years, and ultimately, succumbed to the disease.

Allen appeared in season 6, episode 1 of “Pit Bulls and Parolees.”  “There is always one last act of kindness,”  although, in the midst of a cancer battle, Allen was quick to show his big heart, he adopted Pit Bull named Anna from Villalobos Rescue Center. The part was documented on the show.

Anthony is survived by his parents Denise Ann Miller and Lawrence Anthony Allen. The reality TV cast was born on February 3, 1986.

Other than Allen, the other known tragedy is of Collin Samway. Collin, also known by his nickname, Cliff, was a big part of Villalobos Rescue Center. He was with the center from the time they were just small  & operated in Agua Dulce, California. As the center was forced to move, Cliff followed the Torres family to New Orleans and saw the growth of Villalobos Rescue first-hand. Cliff passed away on May 25, 2018, he was 34 years old. He sustained a serious injury in a motorcycle accident that occurred a month prior.

Tia Torres Children:

Kanani Chock:

Kanani Chock who was born on the 20th of April 1987 is the eldest son of the Torres household. Kanani who comes from Hawaii was adopted alongside his twin brother. The 35-year-old works alongside his mother in the rescue center and has an innate knack for caring for dogs. A comical character, Kanani provides much-needed relief from long days of work and is also handy with problematic dogs. A fan of street bikes, Kanani also works as a stunt rider. Kanani is a married man, to Mariah Chock and the pair share a lovely son.

In August 2020, Kanani was involved in a motorbike accident which led to him missing out on the shooting of a new episode for the series. At the time, there were rumors of his death, some of which were perpetuated by the death of former cast member Collin Samway, who suffered a serious bike accident back in 2018.

Keli’i Chock:

Both Kanani and Keli’i were adopted by Tia Torres when they were relatively young. The brothers from Hawaii are now an integral part of the family and aid their mother in the rescue center. In complete contrast with his twin brother, Keli’i is shy and prefers to keep to himself. He is married to Lizzy and the pair share a 5-year-old son Nakoa.

Tania Torres:

Tania Torres is the first biological child of Tia Maria Torres. Her father who was in a gang back then died of paralysis. Ever since then, Tania has aided her mother in the rescue center. Born on the 6th of May 1985, Tania wanted to make a name for herself in Hollywood. Before her active engagement in the rescue center, Tania worked as an assistant before making it out as an actress. She got a chance to star in films such as Candid Conversations and Face to Face.

Tania is currently married to Perry Sanchez. Sanchez, born in Westwego, Louisiana, now works alongside his wife and in-laws in the rescue center. The pair tied the knot in 2014 and share a lovely daughter, Saleem Wolf.

Mariah Torres:

The youngest in the Torres family Mariah was born on the 6th of September 1991. A former model, Mariah now works alongside her family in the research center. The reality TV star is quite active on social media and uses the platform to provide information to fans and viewers around the world.

Tia Maria Torres Grandchildren:

Tia Maria Torres is a proud grandmother of three grandchildren. While both Kanani and Keli’l are proud fathers of baby boys, Tania has a lovely baby girl.
