Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews. Ever. And conveniently, for fellow avid review readers, my first review is about this flea comb.I usually have multiple cat/kittens around the house; 2 forever fur babies and a rotation of foster kittens. Fleas have always been a nuisance. I bring in orphan kittens then, boom, the whole animal household has fleas. I’m constantly spreading diatomaceous earth and popping capstars like candy in conjunction with a monthly topical.I don’t know how I missed this flea comb on my original “best flea comb for kittens” google search, but no freakin wonder it’s listed as “the best of amazon” or something like that. It popped up on something else I was looking for… another “best of [whatever] for kittens” search. I saw it and was like “double row of teeth….whaaaaat?!… gotta try it.”When flea combing my fur babies I usually wait until they’re sleeping (I highly recommend taking the time to research and practice getting your kitty acclimated to being brushed/combed if you haven’t already). I take a solo cup (or regular cup if you’re classier than me) with the standard titch of dawn + water combo, a dish cloth over my arm, and a few tasty treats. Comb, dip, wipe, repeat. Holy [word I probably can’t say on Amazon], this comb is bomb dot com. After 10 minutes of combing 2/3 of my current feline residents, I ended up with a solo cup of 20-30 fleas (see photo proof). No, I do not have an infestation of fleas and I clean my house very well daily. As far as I know, there isn’t a comb with fine enough teeth to get all of the baby fleas on the baby kittens, but the double row of teeth definitely makes a difference.Yes, I understand this is a long review for a flea comb, but it was worth it.

Ok so first of all – our miniature schnauzer HATES – and I mean hates – getting brushed or combed . He’s the worst – and I’ve tried every kind of brush and comb available !
I got this because he recently had some fleas I wanted to make sure we got them all off of him … To my surprise he actually started to fall asleep while I was combinb him !!!! Unbelievable. I thought he was going to fight me like usual whenever I touch him with a brush or comb.
He literally LOVES this comb.
It worked fabulously to get the few stray fleas off of him ! Some got caught in the comb , and the other that flushed out I grabbed with my fingers and threw into a dish I had with dish soap/water .
Now I’m just excited I have a tool to comb him daily that he actually likes ! I’ll be using this as his regular grooming tool now 🙂

I was watching our son’s cat and he caught fleas from the dog because the cat was not on flea control meds like the dog. What a nightmare!!! They were out of the cat comb so out of desperation I purchased this one. He has long hair and with my bucket of soapy water to put fleas in when I combed them off of him, I combed him two sometimes three times a day on a white sheet. This comb along with vacuuming like a crazy woman, the exterminator and professional steam floor cleaner finally ended the infestation. What a nightmare!!!

I have a long haired Saint bernard and it works great it’s a little hard to clean in between the bristles but it works otherwise

I bought both the single and double row combs. The double has shorter length combs, and is more difficult to get through the animal’s hair. Some people have commented on bending or breaking the individual metal combs. I have not had this problem. I have a short hair dog. I think this would be difficult to use on long hair animals. It absolutely essential to have all tangles and loose undercoat brushed out before using the flea comb. I have a plastic tub of water with a drop or two of liquid dish soap in it. I comb over/next to the water so the very quick fleas get combed directly into the water. This is not easy , but helps keep the numbers of fleas down.

This comb works so good. Dog loves it. I comb the fleas out then clean it in a bowl of water with Dawn in it. Kills them dead

People were not lying when they said this is the best comb for fleas. I did some research before buying a comb since the previous one didn’t work so well and the fleas just kept escaping.
With this comb however, you are guaranteed catching the little f#@kers that has caused your pet grief. Has a good ergonomic handle so you can hold the comb firmly and then the double teeth layer is just amazing doesn’t hurt your pet except your pet (my cat in this case) will hurt me for using a comb on him.
Nevertheless an amazing product. Highly recommended if anyone’s looking for a flea comb. Don’t believe me, but try it for yourself and see the results. 10/10

Fantastic tool

I’d previously used a standard flea comb on my cat which was useless really. It did catch fleas, but the fleas moved like the clappers and would immediately run or jump off the comb. With this comb the fleas are caught between the double row of teeth. Eggs, larvae, flea dirt and loose hair are also removed. My cat has a dense coat, this comb doesn’t tug and the teeth are rounded, not sharp.
I keep a large jar of water close by with a squirt of washing up liquid in, ready to dunk the comb to remove the fleas and keep them in the jar. I use Ecover unscented liquid. I then rinse the comb in a jar of clean water, and roughly dry it before continuing.
It does take a bit more effort to clean because of the double row of teeth. I use a small bristle brush to sweep out any flea dirt or eggs into the soapy jar. After a combing session I give the comb and brush a clean with neat washing up liquid to kill off anything too small to see.
This is working really well for my cat, we’re definitely winning. Huge relief!

Easy to get the little blighters

I had to buy this flea comb for my Jack Russell as I found the standard plastic combs did nothing except skim the surface of her fur but this on actually get right to the skin.
I found a few as she was in contact with another dog whom I found out afterwards had the little pests and with the summer we have had there everywhere so you cannot avoid them if your dog goes out for a walk.
It’s very good quality and very sturdy also I am glad I bought it.

Very good comb very strong teeth I’ve used loads of combs this one no problems I recently had bad allergy reaction thought dogs might have fleas but didn’t find any I clean and rinse them after ten min every month, so they are super clean dogs but like to be safe than sorry.

Have bought various other combs (some which were supposed to electrify the fleas – completely useless) this comb is simple but does exactly what it’s supposed to at a reasonable price.
